BELIEFS

The Scriptures: We believe that the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the verbally inspired and infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God. We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 12:6-7)

The Godhead: We believe there is only one God (Ephesians 4:5-6) eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, Holy Spirit, each coequal in power and glory.

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He accomplished our redemption through His vicarious death on the cross, and that our justification is made sure by His bodily resurrection from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is sat at the right hand of the Father, where as our High Priest, He acts as advocate and intercessor, and that His personal, pre-tribulation and pre-millennial return is imminent. (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 14:3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the executive of the Godhead, convicting the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment: and that, He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, indwelling and sealing believers until the day of redemption.

The Depravity of Man: We believe that man was created in the likeness and image of God, but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God: and, that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Romans 5:12)

The Salvation of Sinners: We believe that salvation is wholly of grace and is a gift of God that is received only by repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ. The blessings of salvation are made free by the Gospel, and nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the Gospel (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Security of the Believer: We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. (Philippians 1:6)

The Doctrine of Heaven and Hell: We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in heaven. We also believe in a literal hell that was prepared for the devil and his angels: and that all that reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be punished eternally in the Lake of Fire. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:12-15)

The Church: We believe that the local church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of baptized believers, under the headship of Christ, and autonomous of any external authority and control, for the purpose of practicing New Testament principles, and carrying out the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Issues of Separation: We believe in ecclesiastical separation from the neoevangelical and ecumenical movements of the day. We are non-Charismatic.
